President Stan Wills and Vice-President Gale Palmer of the Sons of the American Revolution Spokane Chapter #1, assisted by Rob Goff of the Farimount Memorial Association, place American and SAR flags on the grave of Joel E. Ferris, SAR Spokane Chapter’s president in 1933, in preparation for Memorial Day.  The activity was a part of Spokane Chapter #1’s program to decorate the local graves of all of its past presidents every Memorial and Veteran’s Day in recognition of their patriotism and service.  Rob Goff, himself a prospective SAR member with application pending, has researched the final resting places of all of the Chapter’s past presidents.
