Spokane Chapter #1

Pictured above are representatives of the Eastern Washington contingent of the 1-161st Infantry returning home from Iraq, together with Spokane SAR Chapter #1 Vice President Gale Palmer, Compatriot John Caskey, SAR State President Bob Doughty, and Spokane SAR Chapter #1 President Stan Wills.  The entire Eastern Washington contingent of the 1-161st Infantry was nominated by the Spokane Chapter #1 for the Red Cross Hometown Heros for 2009, and the honor was awarded by the Red Cross.

The Spokane Chapter #1 meets the Second Friday of the month, except July and August, noon, The Timber Creek Buffet, corner of Argonne and E. Montongery, 9211 E. Montgomery, Spokane Valley.  For directions click here.

Sons of the American Revolution Spokane Chapter #1  President Stan Wills and Compatriot Gale Palmer present Tommi Sue Swannack first place award for her picture of a Revolutionary Soldier. The entire 4th & 5th grade class ( 13 students)participated and each member received a prize for participating. Presentation was 25 May at the Sprague Elementary School. 

 
 

SAR Spokane Chapter #1 manned a joint booth with the Daughters of the American Revolution at the Inland Northwest Boy Scout Council’s Centennial Camporee at the Spokane Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 22, 2010.  The camporee, which was host to 5,000 Cub and Boy Scouts and adult leaders over the weekend, was the largest Boy Scout event in the history of Spokane. Pictured with Spokane Chapter president Stan Wills is a Boy Scout leader, Patrick McKee, from Troop 218.
